This photo was taken from the train as we headed toward Machu Picchu.  You can see a string of hikers just beginning their 27-mile trek along the Inca trail.  The classic Inca trail route is a 4-day trek past rivers, through forests and across mountains terminating at the Sun Gate atop Machu Picchu.
