This is the inside of the Main Senso-ji Hall.  As the floor is concrete, visitors do not have to take off their shoes.  There is a collection of votive paintings on wood known as "ema".  A worshipper buys a small tablet of wood with the picture painted on one side and writes his or her own prayer on the other as an offering.
