One of the traditional Japanese arts is Bunraku puppet theatre.  These intricate puppets do such amazing things in such realistic ways that you quickly forget that they are being guided by black-clad puppet masters on the stage.  At the show we saw, this puppet was controlled by 3 puppet masters.
