It was at 8:15 am on August 6th, 1945 when the uranium-based atomic bomb exploded 600 meters above the city of Hiroshima.  The resulting fireball and shock wave utterly destroyed everything.  Inexplicably, this concrete and iron building was left partially standing (although all those inside perished).
