| We remember visiting another historic windmill site in The Netherlands back in 1994 - Zaanse Schans. That area in Zaandam is closer to Amsterdam and has many houses in a sort-of open air museum along with a few windmills. The mills here seem to be in a more natural/realistic setting, more untouched by the modern world. |
