Würzburg, Germany 2012

Begun in 1720 and completed in 1744, the Würzburg Residenz is the greatest work of architect Balthasar Neumann.  It contains over 300 Baroque and Rococo rooms.  It was mostly destroyed in the bombing of 1945 but has been rebuilt to its former glory.
