| The magnificent Katz Castle is up on a ledge over the town of St. Goarshausen. It was first built around 1371 by Count Wilhelm II of Katzenelnbogen. It was bombed out by Napoleon in 1806 and rebuilt between 1896-1898. It is today privately owned and not open for visitors. |
