| While not unique to the Galápagos, the tall pink elegance of these creatures is a welcome sight when compared to some of the more prehistoric animals. The flamingo feeds by sticking its head under the water, turning it upside down and straining the mud for shrimps -- which provide for and maintains their lovely color. |
