| Bachas Beach got its name in a unique way: In WWII a couple of U.S. barges broke their moorings and ran aground on this beach. Apparently, the locals could not pronounce the word "barges" and they referred to them as "Las Bachas". Remnants of the barges can still be seen protruding from the sand. |
