| The symbol of Bayon, there are no less than 216 of these coldly smiling faces of the great king Avalokiteshvara. These huge stone heads face every angle and cover 54 gothic towers at the center of the temple's third level. Five of them are clearly visible in this photo (not counting the smiles on Pam and Randy's faces!). |
