The wide beach of Copacabana is rimmed by this beautiful black-and-white tile walkway.  Then there is a bike lane (in each direction) and finally the six-lane boulevard known as Avenida Atlantica.  On Sundays (like today) the lanes nearest the beach are closed to traffic to allow additional space for pedestrian activities.
