Antarctica, December, 2010 - January, 2011

A huge colony of Adélie penguins on Paulet Island.  All the little black dots on the flat land to the left are penguins!  We had trouble getting closer because of all the ice.  You can also make out the remains of a two-roomed stone building behind the biggest iceberg which 20 men from Otto Nordenskjold's Swedish Antarctic Expedition had built in 1903 after their ship "Antarctic" had been crushed in the ice.
