| Randy was excited when we sailed near Elephant Island and he heard we would be treated to a special menu at dinner in honor of the famous Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. Randy really wanted to try some of the things eaten by the men from the "Endurance" during the more than 18 months they were marooned after abandoning their icebound ship. He was particularly looking forward to "seal and penguin hoosh", but as you can see, roast pork was served. |
