To give visitors an idea of how expansive and impressive the Imperial City once was, there is this scale model at the site. The Citadel is square area 1.5 miles on each side enclosed by a 23-foot high and 66-foot thick wall with 10 gates. These days the wall remains with the reconstructed Noon Gate as the main entrance. The other buildings have been reduced to rubble. |
