Looking out from the Noon Gate to the Flag Tower, it's easy to feel royal. Built for the exclusive use of the emperor and his household in the early 1800's, it is very reminiscent of Beijing's Forbidden City. 'The Citadel' is used interchangeably with 'Imperial City'. |
