A summer tradition in Jackson Hole is the Town Square Shootout which is held each evening (except Sundays) since 1957. Many of the performers are from the Jackson Hole Playhouse, and they put on a very realistic show. It is the longest continuously running gunfight in the USA, it is estimated that 4 million people have witnessed it.
