| Many of the PT (Patrol, Torpedo) boats used in WWII were built in New Orleans by the Higgins Industries Boatyard. This volunteer at the museum was one of the men who built them, and he was more than happy to tell us his story. Believe it or not, these boats are made mostly of plywood, but are incredibly strong. |
