| Blake and Ron stand at the beginning of the Bright Angel Trail, leading from the top of the south rim down to the river -- a vertical distance of one mile. One must hike nearly 10 miles to make it to the bottom. This photo was taken at sunrise (5:15 am), and they wouldn't see the bottom for nearly 5 hours! |
