| The California Tunnel Tree is the only tunnel tree still standing. The Wawona Tunnel Tree fell in 1969, its root system damaged by being cut and by being exposed to exhaust fumes - It collapsed under a record snowpack. You can't drive through this one, but you can walk through! |
