| El Capitan is one of Yosemite's best known landmarks. It is the crown jewel of the rock climbing community and a keen eye will nearly always find climbers across its face. Amazingly it is very approachable -- Camp 4 is located right at its base and is populated by climbers from all over the world. You don't need a permit to climb, but you'd better know what you're doing! |
