It was a real treat to dine at Michael Mina, the posh restaurant inside the Westin St. Francis Hotel at Union Square.  Mr. Mina became a celebrity while overseeing another San Francisco restaurant we loved, "Aqua".  Michael Mina is a small plate restaurant where courses arrive as a trio of different renditions of the same theme (plus three sides to match) on custom Mina-designed modular china. That's six different preparations per dish or a total of 18 different flavors over the course of an evening!
