San Francisco's City Hall is bathed in light each evening.  It opened in 1915 replacing the earlier building completely destroyed by the 1906 earthquake.  Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe were married at City Hall in 1954.  Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk were assassinated here in 1978.
