St. Michael's Cathedral in Sitka is one of Southeast Alaska's best-known national landmarks.  You're not far from Russia here, and you can see the Russian-Orthodox influence with the onion-dome.  It was originally built in the 1840's, but had to be rebuilt in 1966 after a fire.
