| June is a terrific time to be in Ascot as the Royal Meeting races take place, the highlight being the Ascot Gold Cup which the Queen attends. Ascot racecourse is owned by the Crown Estate, and is only six miles from Windsor Castle. Note the traditional dress patrons of the racecourse wear - coat & tails for men, a dress and incredible hats for women! |
