| Here at the Fujairah Heritage Village we got a view of what life was like for residents of the Emirates before the oil economy took over. This Al Yazrah irrigation system (powered by a live bull) was demonstrated -- it was used to irrigate the fields by drawing water from a deep well and pouring it into canals. |
