| The Baobob tree is very common in this part of Africa. When they loose their leaves they are sometimes called "upside-down trees" because the diffuse branches look like the root system sticking up in the air. These trees store water inside their swollen trunk to endure the harsh drought conditions -- up to 32,000 gallons! |
