| The Arusha clocktower is perhaps the best known man-made landmark in Tanzania. Purportedly the halfway point on the road between CapeTown and Cairo, it stands in a roundabout surrounded by commercial enterprise, including this guy trying to peddle USA Today. The aesthetics of the tower are harder to appreciate now that it is adorned with electronic billboards. |
