The Botanical Garden adjacent to the Paul Gauguin Museum on Tahiti has 137 hectares of tropical gardens, streams and ponds.  An American physics teacher who came to the island in 1919 collected many trees, plants, shrubs and flowers from tropical regions and put together this corner of paradise.
