Scuba and Snorkeling in French Polynesia 2007

Some of the many sea urchins (Echinoidea) along the reefs in the South Pacific.  The spines can inflict a painful wound if a human steps on them, but they are really not dangerous.  They are so named because of their resemblance to round spiny hedgehogs.  The have hundreds of "tube feet", so they do move - but very slowly.
