Scuba and Snorkeling in French Polynesia 2007

A closer view of a remora.  Commonly known as a 'sharksucker', you can't see the suckers under its chin in this photo.  They hitchhike by attaching themselves to sharks or whales, but they don't cause harm to the host.  In fact, it is thought they help remove bacteria and parasites from their hosts.  They're a little creepy and while Randy was taking photos of them, one tried to attach itself to his leg!
