| This section of Granada's Alhambra is known as the harem, which in it's time was entered only by the sultan, his family, and their most trusted servants (most of them eunichs). This Patio de los Leones (Court of the Lions) is the heart of the harem. It takes its name from the central fountain which is surrounded by 12 lions. |
