| A close-up of Blejski grad (Bled Castle) as seen from across the lake. The castle dates to the 11th century and is perched on a 400-foot cliff overlooking the lake. The oldest part of the castle is the romanesque tower. In the Middle Ages more towers were built and the fortifications were improved. Other buildings were additionlly constructed in the Baroque period. |
