This is the Monument to Fallen Shipyard Workers.  The right to erect this memorial was one of Solidarity's main demands during the 1980 lock-in led by Lech Walesa. The 42-meter, 139-ton steel sculpture commemorates those who died in Poland's three uprisings against communism.  It is composed of three huge crosses with attached anchors.
