This impressive mansion on Long Street is known as "Artus Court". Founded as a meeting place for merchants and dignitaries, it was named after King Arthur, of round table fame, and hosted many a noble guest. It is a symbol of the city's power in the 16th and 17th centuries. Note the banners announcing the 25th anniversary of the Solidarity movement. In front of Artus Court since 1633 is the Neptune Fountain. |
