Cebu, Central Visayas, 2010

On Magallanes Street in Cebu City (Magallanes being the Spanish name of Magellan) you will find this chapel near the Basilica Minore del Santo Niņo.  The chapel houses a Christian cross planted by Portugese and Spanish explorers as ordered by Ferdinand Magellan upon arriving in Cebu in the Philippines on April 8, 1521.
