| Here we are at the Monument of the Blood Compact (or "Sandugo") on the outskirts of Tagbilaran City. Considered the first treaty of friendship between the Spaniards and Filipinos, this monument commemorates the tribal tradition of friendship between the Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna the chieftain of Bohol on March 16, 1565. |
