| Some of the oldest and best preserved mud homes in Oman are in the picturesque village of Al Hamra. The 2 or 3 floor homes are built on the lower slopes of Jebel Shams (Mountain of the Sun) which is the highest mountain in the country and is part of Al Hajar Mountains range. In the valley are huge numbers of date palms. |
