We went to the Tamaki Maori Village to experience a bit of Maori culture.  On arrival, nobody enters the fortified village until the Powhiri (formal welcome) has been performed.  This is a serious affair, but despite warnings not to laugh we found it tickled our funny bone!  Ask Pam to do her rendition sometime.
