Queenstown is situated along the edge of Lake Wakatipu with the range of mountains known as "The Remarkables" along its southeastern shore.  This area is the capital of New Zealand adventure sports - skiing, bungy jumping, jet boating, and hang gliding are just some of the things visitors can do here.
