Driving up the long road to Aoraki/Mt. Cook National Park, you eventually get to the iconic Hermitage Hotel.  It's a bit reminiscent of the Overlook Hotel in the movie "The Shining" - you feel pretty isolated out here.  Our rooms were in that tower on the 6th floor affording great views over Mt. Cook.
