The grounds of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun are impressive too, but nothing can prepare the visitor for the scenes inside, the bodies of the 'great leaders' lying in state, the huge collections of memorabilia each collected during their lifetimes. All preserved and on display in perpetuity.
