Nepal 2005

Patan is separated from Kathmandu by the Bagmati River and is the second-largest town in the valley.  Durbar Square is at the center of the town, and the palace on the right.  The collection of temples in this square is the most stunning example of Newari architecture in Nepal.  You can see the red-cloaked Hanuman, a Ganesh, and Vishnu as Narsingha (the man-lion) guarding the Sundari Chowk palace entrances on the lower right.
