A close-up of the Aye-Aye. Certainly not the most attractive lemur, many Malagasy people believe they are evil. There are a number of folk-stories which feature it, stories claiming the animals sneak into houses through the thatched roofs and use their middle fingers to puncture a victim's aorta.
