Shinjuku is a large business, entertainment and shopping area on Tokyo's west side.  The Shinjuku Station is thought to be the busiest railway station in the world, handling an astounding 2 million passengers each day!   Six railway companies and more than 12 rail and subway lines converge here.  It is constantly humming with activity.
