The Yomei-mon (Gate of Sunlight) is also sometimes called Higurashi-mon (Twilight Gate) implying that one could spend all day looking at the richness of detail.  The roof brackets are carved with dragons, lions, clouds, and demigods painted in vivid hues.  The gate has been designated a National Treasure.
