In this shot of Mt. Fuji, you can see a small amount of snow at the very top.  The path going up to the vegetation line is actually pretty steep, and if you follow the path with you eyes you can make out a group of people standing behind the first tree -- a hiker has broken her ankle there, and they are getting ready to bring her down on a gurney.
