The large, light yellow building under the crown of the hill above the majority of the village is Villa Serbelloni. It was built in th fifteenth century. In 1959 it became the property of the Rockefeller Foundation of New York. It should not be confused with Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni which is also in the photo at the far left.
