Ireland 2003

Limerick was our least favorite city in Ireland.  It is mostly industrial, and lacks most of the charm we found in nearly every other Irish town.  Contrary to popular belief, there's no direct connection between Limerick City and the facetious five-line verse known as a limerick. You can see King John's Castle (right) which was built by the Normans in the early 1200's.
