| This is perhaps the most distinctive feature of the Shore Temple, known as the Dharalinga (or Shivalinga). The top of the linga is, unfortunately, damaged. Carved out of black basalt stone, it has sixteen faces with slight fluting to create a dome at the top. It would have been 6 feet tall. |
