| Fatehpur Sikri was an ambitious city built by Akbar around 1570-1585, but was virtually abandoned within 20 years because of the lack of water. This two-story building with domed cupolas is the Hall of Private Audience where Akbar is thought to have conducted meetings with his ministers. |
